Molson Coors – Red Shield Case Study
Amaxima worked with Molson Coors on the development of the Red Shield brand from May to September 2009.

The contract was tailored to meet the exact market research requirements for the client. This included a weekly project status report for the Brand Marketing Manager. The primary aim was to establish the Red Shield brand with selected outlets that offer a wide range of Real Ales and were in the target Midlands locations.

Project Overview

Amaxima provided a Sales and Marketing service to assist with the selling, delivery, market research and general promotion of William Worthington’s Cask Ales. The 20 week project was closely monitored in terms of how Landlords and their customers perceived the new Red Shield product, and this information was fed back to the Head Brewer and Marketing team to help future planning.
The service was flexible and allowed Molson Coors to review progress on a regular basis and agree new priorities as the process evolves. The project included the following deliverables;

  • Project Management and regular communication with Project Sponsor
  • Design of marketing collateral and E Flyers
  • Lead Generation direct to Real Ale Pubs within target areas
  • Achieve target sales order volumes over a 16 week period
  • Inform target markets with agreed sales collateral and training material
  • Delivery of product to customers within 50 miles of Burton on Trent - Follow up visits for market research on acceptance of the product
  • Follow up visits to Pubs to promote product tastings
  • Develop relationships within Molson Coors and help support the product awareness
  • Weekly Report on sales figures and product feedback comments
  • Compile a comprehensive database of target customers
